The weekend’s right around the corner, and if you’re dealing with the cooling weather like us on the East Coast, you’re likely looking for a way to stay indoors where it’s warm.

Well, look no further than your local movie theater or DVD rental, where there’s a range of perfect dating flicks to pick from. Let’s examine, shall we?

1) SkyFall: This latest Bond flick is getting rave reviews, and has had the highest opening weekend for any film in the franchise. This is perfect for those not looking for a lovey-dovey film as there’ll be tons of action and eye candy for both of you. To add your own special twist, bring along some mini bottled wines or cocktails so you can drink in style. Just like Bond.

2) Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2: If you’re looking for some good laughs, this one fits the bill. The lines and acting are so cheesy, you can’t help but smirk and laugh right through this franchise finale. Plus to make things interesting, count to see how many times Bella bites her lip, Edward stares at her longingly or Jacob appears shirtless. The loser buys meals or drinks afterward!

3) Wreck-It Ralph: Who doesn’t have fond video game memories of Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and The Super Mario Bros? This latest debut from Disney brings all your favorite characters to life. And afterward, keep the game buzz going and take your competitive skills to a Dave & Buster’s, bowling alley or mini-golf course.

4) If you want to avoid a crowded theater, we suggest catching the under-the-rader Seven Psychopaths. We caught this gem recently and it does not disappoint. There’s comedy, intrigue, action and emotional soul-searching, and BONUS: one of the coolest dogs to grace the silver screen in the past few years. Oh, did we forget to mention it also stars Christopher Walken? We should have just opened with that. Case closed.

5) Cloud Atlas: The biggest upside to this film is that it’s not a remake or a franchise addition, so you’ll go into it with no expectations. Plus we’re adding this one because we never saw it, and don’t know anyone else who saw it, so if you do see it, let us know what you think!
